The Credit Management Platform offers several interfaces to connect with a bank's internal applications as well as with external data sources.
The Rating Database is used to store credit risk ratings and Basel II-compliant ratings history including data used to derive the ratings. Besides key data, various meta-data elements are stored in the Rating Database such as the name of the credit analyst, the rating timestamp and the rating model used. All data is stored in a relational database and can be used for ongoing risk reporting purposes.
The Credit Management Platform may be bi-directionally connected to internal and external third-party systems. Each rating is based on a certain set of data depending on the risk parameter to be determined (e.g. obligor default risk, transaction-specific risks). This can include the following data elements:
• Loan Data
• Obligor Data (e.g. financial statements)
• Loan Purpose
• Default Data
Besides the integration of a bank’s internal applications, the Credit Management Platform can be connected to external data sources. Thus, information from data providers (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, Bureau van Dijk) and rating agencies (e.g., Moody’s, Standard & Poor's) can be used within the rating process.
