Visual Rules Modeler

  • Update to Identity Management Version 3
  • Multitenancy is supported in combination with Team Platform and Execution Platform
  • The handling of null values has been simplified by adding new functions (defaultlfNull(...)) for the datatypes Boolean, Date, Time and Timestamp
  • For state flows it is now possible to have a rule called either when entering or when leaving a state element (the Visual Rules Runtime has been extended accordingly)
  • Constant data elements can be used as events in state flows
  • REST based communication with Team Platform/ Execution Platform

Visual Rules Builder

  • Update to Identity Management Version 3
  • Multitenancy is possible in combination with Team Platform and Execution Platform
  • Ant Task VRDeploy and Maven plugin are supporting the settings active, validFrom and validTo

Visual Rules Team Platform

  • Multitenancy: The Team Server supports multiple tenants. Tenant data are stored separately and managed via a user interface
  • Central User Management (Identity Management 3.1): New component for the management of clients, users, groups, roles, permissions, domains and applications. Intuitive user guiding. Connection to existing systems (LDAP)
  • For the communication with the Team Server, generally RESTful Services are used. This allows the automation of recurring tasks as well as the integration into existing applications. Provided services are amongst others: Repository Service, Build Service, Coverage Service
  • The revised administration-console allows a quick access on detailed information about the managed resources. With the help of the integrated permission system, access to resources can be configured particularly
  • The user interface of the Team Server Builder has been revised. In addition to the graphical presentation, an intuitive handling via context-sensitive actions is possible
  • For better performance and user experience many lists on the web-console interface now support pagination
  • Rule Services generated by the Team Server can be published independently of each other in Maven Repositories or via the Visual Rules Execution Server
  • Migration Tool for migrating Team Server 5.4.x backups to version 6.0.1

  • Coverage of Rules Web Services: The execution of rules provided as web services is secured by WS-Security

Execution Core

  • Ready for multitenancy scenarios and supports the separation of tenant data
  • Authentication and authorization can be done against a central user management instance
  • Alternatively, Execution Core can still be used standalone without authentication/ authorization
  • API supports deployment of Visual Rules Archives (VRA)

Visual Rules Batch Platform

  • It is possible to integrate the Batch Platform in multitenant scenarios together with the Visual Rules Execution Server
  • Alternatively batch jobs can be executed beyond multitenant scenarios by using the Visual Rules Runtime or the standalone-mode of the Visual Rules Execution Core
  • New maintenance tool which allows dumping of necessary DDL scripts or the creation of required Spring Batch database tables and enables prefixing of Spring Batch database tables with custom prefixes. This makes it possible to use a single Batch Platform installation for different environments using a kind of namespaces, e.g. "TST", "ACC" or "PRD"
