Bosch Software Innovations extends Asia Pacific footprint in China

Bosch Software Innovations - the software and systems house of the Bosch Group – has signed its first contract with a customer in Greater China.

Shanghai, 10/22/2012 -

SVS Corporation, which is part of Taiwan Secom Group, will be using the eMobility solution developed by Bosch Software Innovations to set up and manage an electric vehicle charging infrastructure across Taiwan. The first charging stations are expected to be installed by early 2013.

“We want to lead Taiwan’s electric mobility industry by developing a world-class electric vehicle program. We chose Bosch Software Innovations as a solution and service provider because of its comprehensive vision and capabilities for intelligent charging networks,” said John Siau, President, SVS Corporation, Taiwan Secom Group.

“We are delighted to assist SECOM in making electric mobility in Taiwan possible and to contribute our broad knowledge from various global projects in this exciting area,” added Thomas Jakob, Managing Director (Asia Pacific), Bosch Software Innovations.

The charging network will be based on Bosch Software Innovations‘ eMobility solution and includes:

  • Secure cloud-based service for the networking of charging stations;
  • Full-fledged administration of charging stations via a comprehensive management portal;
  • Convenient web portal for every driver;
  • Reliable system operation by Bosch;
  • Accurate logging of consumption data as a basis for billing;
  • Intelligent back-end as a basis for the establishment of a comprehensive eco-system for electric mobility services.

New Presence in China

With regard to the growing market potential in the Greater China region, Bosch Software Innovations today announced that the company has established a local presence in Shanghai.
