Visual Rules 6.0 introduces Multitenancy

04/12/2013 -

Version 6.0 of our Business Rules Management Platform is now available. A significant feature included within BRM Visual Rules 6.0 is a multitenancy-enabled architecture. This gives you the ability to create a scalable Visual Rules infrastructure in an economical and easy-to-maintain way.

In our understanding tenants are organizational and data-related separated entities. With the multitenancy-enabled Visual Rules BRM software it is now possible to run one instance of the Visual Rules Team Server and Visual Rules Execution Server and provide access to multiple tenants (customers) at the same time. The users of one tenant do not have access to the rules, data, rule services, build processes, users, authorization structure etc. of the other tenants.

With our new and centralized Identity Management you can create your tenants comfortably. Each tenant either administers their own users, groups, roles, authorizations, etc. or delegates this task back to the provider if desired.

Additional product enhancements include:

  • Enhanced interfaces of all Visual Rules components further optimizing performance and openness.
  • Modernized administrative consoles allowing for intuitive administration and execution of rules.
  • Advanced UX-elements expedite the creation of rules within the Visual Rules WebModeler, i.e. by automatically generating new elements ("Magic Dialog") and completing rule expressions.
