BPM for Energy – Market Communication – Process Package MaBis/GaBiGas

The Process Package MaBiS/GaBiGas

With the entry into force of the “Market rules for electricity balancing group billing” (MaBiS) came into effect and as a result of the “Basic model for balancing payments and rules in the gas sector” (GABiGas) laid down by the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA), energy providers have to fulfill new requirements for a data exchange process with deadlines and based on EDIFACT. These requirements oblige the market partners involved not only to adapt existing processes but also to introduce new ones. Comprehensive communication rules, large data volumes, high complexity and short implementation deadlines all make it necessary to automate as much as possible by means of a high-quality solution.

Bosch Software Innovations offers the process package for MaBiS / GaBiGas. The package covers all requirements, automates the data checking and communication processes of balancing group managers and suppliers, and supports balancing group billing checks:

  • Fulfillment of legal requirements for communication with balancing group coordinators and distribution network operators as well as for deadline monitoring
  • Support for all required EDIFACT messages
  • Visualization of the activation and checking statuses of the transmitted aggregate time series
  • Automatic modeling of actual checking process
  • Automatic allocation of time series to market partners when importing
  • Deadline monitoring
  • Portal for overview of processing status
  • Integration of scheduling data into checking process, whether from inubit BPM or from external systems
  • Automatic checking sequences
